Continued … Daniel finds out about the order to kill all
the king’s men when the soldiers come to his house to take him to his
death sentence. He immediately
requests an audience with the king and respectfully asks for a day to get
the answer for the king. His
request is answered and Daniel goes home, prays for God to show him the
dream and the following day, Daniel tells the king the dream and the
interpretation. It is in this
story that we find the omniscient (all-knowing) power of God. After explaining that God alone has
imparted the dream to him, Daniel describes the dream in living
detail. The king almost leaps
from his throne as he remembers the dream. This dream foretells the whole future of the world from
King Nebuchadnezzar to the second coming of Christ. It has been eerily fulfilled to the
closest detail in the succession of the empires or kingdoms that have
ruled the world. We find more
information in Daniel chapter seven.
This is a vision that Daniel has.
He sees four beasts coming out of the sea. In Daniel 7: 15-18 the angel explains
that the symbols of the beasts represent four great kingdoms on earth.
Each one follows the other in succession. Each one represents a kingdom
of earth. These kingdoms start with Babylon and
King Nebuchadnezzar. The bear
with ribs in its mouth represent the Medes and Persians kingdom. The leopard with four wings depicts
Alexander the Great and the swiftness with which he became the ruler of
the then-known world. He died and
the kingdom was divided up amongst his four generals (four heads). The fourth beast has fulfilled the
strength of iron in that it represents the kingdom or nation of
Rome. It crushed and destroyed
all in its way as iron is strong.
Even though Elvis is no longer
physically with us, he still inspires in various ways to affect others.
