Fred Wise
e Ben Weisman escreveram As Long As I Have You para o filme de Elvis de
1958,
King Creole. Elvis gravou a canção no Radio Recorders em 16 de
Janeiro de 1958. Gravaram-se duas versões, uma para o disco e outra mais
curta que ainda não foi oficialmente lançada, muito embora já tenha
aparecido nalguns lançamentos pirata. No final de 1958, Don Rondo fez uma
versão de As Long As I Have You (Jubilee 5334) que não entrou nas
tabelas.
