O lançamento em single de Blue River quase nem entrava na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard, chegando à 95ª posição durante uma semana. Uma versão da canção no LP francês Elvis Presley (86508) foi impressa com uma velocidade ligeiramente mais lenta, fazendo com que durasse mais 4 segundos.
