Hawaiian Wedding Song foi escrita em 1926 por Charles E. King sob o título Ke Kali Nei Au. Em 1958 Al Hoffman e Dick Manning escreveram as letras em inglês. Andy Williams teve um milhão de vendas com Hawaiian Wedding Song (Cadence 1358) em 1959. A sua gravação alcançou o 11º lugar na tabela Hot 100 da Billboard. Em 1951 Bing Crosby gravou a canção com o título Here Ends the Rainbow. 

Elvis gravou Hawaiian Wedding Song em 22 de Março de 1961 no Radio Recorders para o seu filme, Blue Hawaii. Mais tarde cantou-a também na edição americana do seu especial televisivo Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii (4 de Abril de 1973). No entanto, Hawaiian Wedding Song não apareceu na banda sonora do especial.
