Do The Clam
download
(Wayne / Weisman / Fuller)

Information:
Do The
Clam was sung by Elvis in his 1965 film Girl Happy. The single
release reached #21 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart during its
eight-week stay. It was tremendously successful in Japan for some unknown
reason. Elvis recorded the song in June or July, 1964 in Radio Recorders.
Sid Wayne, Ben Weisman and Dolores Fuller are the composers.
Lyrics:
Hey everybody gather round
Listen to that bongo sound
Grab the first one in your reach
Now we're gonna shake the beach
1. Do the Clam, do the Clam
Grab your barefoot baby by the hand
Turn and tease, hug and squeeze
Dig right in and do the Clam
You can get your heart to spin
On the outside lookin' in
Moon ain't gonna last all night
Well let's work up an appetite
1. (repeat)
Everybody's got that beat
Well listen to those happy feet
Ain't you glad that you found out
What the Clam is all about
1. 1. (repeat)
Dig right in and do the Clam
Dig right in and do the Clam
Dig right in and do the Clam
