COMMENTS:

This disc, the fourth release on the DAE label, contains the majority of the midnight show from Las Vegas on 27 January 1971. It is taken from an incomplete soundboard recording. The last three songs are from the previous night which was the opening night. The final song "Can’t Help Falling In Love" is dedicated to Hal Wallis and suffers from some weird distortion which is the only flaw in this excellent release. This show features a very rare version of "Only Believe", the only time it was sung live. Like all the other DAE releases this disc comes in a digipak but has since been re-bootlegged (around May/June 1998) and is now available in a jewel case. The front cover picture shows Elvis wearing his Championship Attendence belt and the Cisco Kid outfit from the August 1971 season. The inside cover reproduces write-ups of the show from the Las Vegas Sun newspaper dated 31 Jan 1971and the Las Vegas Review Journal dated 27 Jan 1971.
