MARCH 1955
Louisiana Hayride - Elvis' debut television performance.
Grand Prize Saturday Night Jamboree - Elvis sings “I Got A Woman” from Eagle's
Hall in Houston Texas.


1956
January
Stage Show
Elvis sang Flip, Flop and Fly as the ending of Shake, Rattle
and Roll. The appearance shocked middle-aged viewers. To
distance themselves a little they invited Bill Randle to
introduce Elvis.

Elvis sang Baby Let's Play House and Tutti Frutti.

Elvis sang Blue Suede Shoes and Heartbreak Hotel.

Elvis sang Tutti Frutti and I Was The One.

The Milton Berle Show
Performed on board the U.S.S. Hancock. Elvis sang Shake,Rattle and Roll, Blue
Suede Shoes and Heartbreak Hotel.
During the show Berle appeared as "Elvin"s twin brother, Melvin.

The Milton Berle Show
Elvis sang Hound Dog. and received a gold record for I Want You, I Need You, I
Love You. His gyrations during Hound Dog caused an uproar. The critics tore him
apart!

Dance Party
During the show, Wink Martindale interviewed Elvis who talked about a forthcoming
charity show where he was donating his initial ring as a door prize.

The Steve Allen Show
Elvis was filmed from the waist up singing I Want You, I Need You, I Love You and
Hound Dog (wearing a tuxedo, blue suede shoes and singing to a basset hound!) He
also appeared in a range round-up comedy skit advertising candy bars.

Hy Gardner Calling
Broadcast live from Elvis' hotel room on a split screen. Gardner asked Elvis whether
fame was going to his head, how he managed with so little sleep and whether his
mother approved of his performances.

The Ed Sullivan Show
Elvis sang Don't Be Cruel, Love Me Tender, Ready Teddy and Hound Dog. An
estimated 82% of the viewing public watched the show.

October
The Ed Sullivan Show
Elvis sang Don't Be Cruel, Love Me Tender, Love Me and Hound Dog. During the
show Elvis was presented with a gold record for Love Me Tender.

December
Holiday Hop
Elvis appeared for a special presentation and was
interviewed by Wink Martindale


1957
January
The Ed Sullivan Show
Still being filmed from the waist up, Elvis sang Hound Dog, Love Me Tender,
Heartbreak Hotel, Don't Be Cruel, Too Much, When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold
Again and Peace In The Valley. This was Elvis' last appearance for some time.
He then turned to making films. At the end of the show Sullivan told everybody that
Elvis was a "real decent fine boy." Elvis nodded his thanks.

May
Welcome Home Elvis
During this Frank Sinatra - Timex TV Special, Elvis sang Fame and Fortune and
Stuck On You. Elvis and Sinatra also sang two duets - Witchcraft. and Love Me
Tender.


1968
December
ELVIS
A Singer TV-Special. Not a live performance, recorded in June. Now referred to as
the "Comeback Special".

1973
January
Elvis Aloha From Hawaii
Elvis' world-wide broadcast by satellite.


1977
October
Elvis In Concert
The final TV special by Elvis as recorded by CBS. It was edited concert footage of
Elvis from that year.
