Billboard's Hot 100 chart placed "Are You Lonesome Tonight" at the number 1 slot on November 20th 1960, it was on this chart for sixteen weeks, six weeks at number 1. The Country chart listed this song at the number 22 slot, and was on this chart for six weeks on its arrival on December 3rd 1960, the R&B chart placed the song at number 3 on December 4th, it remained on the R&B chart for ten weeks. "I Gotta Know" entered the Hot 100 chart on November 20th at the number 20 position and remained on the chart for eleven weeks.

RCA entered this 45 in the UK on January 25th 1961 (RCA 1216) and it reached number 1 on the chart.
