Jailhouse Rock entered the Hot 100 at number 1, it stayed number 1 for six weeks and was on the chart for twenty seven weeks. On the same day the Country chart also had this song at number 1, and it remained on this chart for twenty four weeks, it also entered the Rhythm & Blues chart at number 1, also on the same day and stayed on the chart for twelve weeks. The Hot 100 chart had Treat Me Nice in the number 27 slot on October 12th, it stayed on the chart for ten weeks, on October 5th the song was number 1 on the Rhythm & Blues chart where it stayed for fifteen weeks.

RCA released this single in January 1958, catalogue No. RCA 1028, this single entered the chart on January 30th 1958, it reached number 1 on the UK Chart.
