RCA  47  6643                       Black Label – Dog On Top

Side A.  Love Me Tender

Side B.  Any Way You Want Me

Love Me Tender entered Billboard's Hot 100 chart on October 10th 1956 at the number 1 position, it remained number 1 for four weeks, and on the chart for twenty three weeks, on the same day this song was number 3 on the Country chart, where it remained for eighteen weeks, and was number 4 on the Rhythm & Blues chart, where it stayed for thirteen weeks.

December 13th 1956 was the entry date for this 45 in the UK on the His Master's Voice label, the catalogue No. for this single is POP 253 which is lower than Blue Moon, this makes me think that this release was held back to coincide with the release of the movie, this has a purple label with gold or silver lettering, it reached number 11 in the UK charts.
