This 45 was released on July 14th 1970 and would enter the chart on October 24th 1970, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me & Patch It Up entered the Hot 100 chart together, and both tied at the number 11 position, they both remained on the chart for ten weeks. On December 5th 1970, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me entered the Country chary at number 56 and stayed on the chart for five weeks.

RCA released this single in January 1971 in the UK (RCA 2046), it entered the chart on January 9th 1971this would also reach the number 9 slot on the UK chart
