Elvis 'Rarities' #2 - Elvis Novels
The good....
...the bad
...and here's a picture of Priscilla.
In the photograph above, the book on the left ("Elvis The Novel", by Robert Graham and Keith Baty) is that rare item - a spoof which is funny. Not laugh-out-loud split-your-sides funny perhaps, but funny enough to give the reader the odd chuckle. In it, Elvis meets The Beatles and cuts a few tracks with them. His favourite expression is "Fuck a pig!". He makes a movie called "Little girls grow up fast, and grope me". And all the while you're reading it, you're thinking "Aah, I get it....". It didn't happen, but it could have.

Whereas in the second book ("Fairytale" by Anonymous) none of the above applies. I don't think. I was so bored with it, I gave up after a few pages. We're meant to believe that it was written by somebody on the inside, too scared to reveal their true identity. The book features a character called Aaron Wade. D'you see what they did there?

Oh God, this book stinks.
