“All Elvis” is a photo book from my friends at Elvis Unlimited productions featuring a variety of shots from the '50's to the final tours. The cover design (pictured) features a photo of Elvis on stage circa 1973, and inside there's an introduction from Tom Jones, who speaks of his friendship with Elvis and the times they had together in both Hawaii and Las Vegas. 

The first photographs we see are some black and white candid '50's shots (some of which I had not seen before) and these are followed by two excellent '50's promotion photos showing Elvis sitting on the floor in a light striped jacket. If anyone remembers a BBC TV play from the late 1970's called "Long Distance Information" they will be familiar with this jacket. The 50's theme continues with more black and white candids, and a couple of colour shots showing Elvis in his gold lame suit. There is also a colour section showing photos of Elvis meeting the fans in his army uniform. Again, I hadn't seen these before.

Next comes a selection of 60's photos, and the book is mainly in colour throughout from this point. There are some excellent colour shots of Elvis on various movie sets, along with some candid shots showing Elvis on vacation with Priscilla. These are followed by some candids from the '69/70 period, and a two page spread of photos from 1971, some of which I think were taken outside RCA's Studio B in Nashville. 

The final part of the book concentrates on the concert years, and features a wide variety of shots of Elvis on stage from 1970 - 1977. As the majority of Elvis websites seem to focus on this aspect of Elvis' career more than any other, I had seen some of these photos before, but there were still some I hadn't seen, and in most cases they were reproduced very well. For the jumpsuit junkies there are photographs of Elvis in a variety of outfits taken both on tour and in Las Vegas.  A nice photo book, which is well worth adding to your collection.
